Prof. Mohammed Saqib is Founder and Secretary General of India China Economic & Cultural Council (ICEC), a foremost Think Tank on India China economic and cultural issues.

He is also a founder and CEO of Bureau of Research on Industry & Economic Fundamentals (BRIEF) a Socio- economic consulting company.

Mohammed Saqib, a professional economist, began his career as a researcher. He has worked at renowned think tanks of India like Institute of Economic Growth, Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations (ICRIER) and Rajiv Gandhi Institute for Contemporary Studies, Rajiv Gandhi Foundation, New Delhi.

Saqib has been a Consultant to various government and international organisations such as The World Bank, UNDP, UNCTAD, EU, ADB, Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Environment and Forest, Govt. of India, SIDBI and many others.

He served as the member of Eminent Citizen Group established by Ministry of Rural Development, Govt. of India to review social sector programmes. He is on Advisory Board of various industry associations and is on the Board of Directors of several companies.

Saqib has authored several books, papers and popular articles, and continues to do research and teaches as a guest faculty at prominent management institutes.
