Dr. Pascal BONIFACE is the founding Director of the IRIS (Institut de Relations Internationales et Stratégiques – Institute for International and Strategic Relations).

He is a professor of International Relations at the Institut d’Etudes européennes (Institute for European Studies) of the University Paris 8.

Pascal BONIFACE had been a member of several institutions like the “ UN Advisory Board on Disarmament matters” or the Advisory Board of the French Institute for High Studies on the National Defense and also to the Committee of support and reflexion of the African diplomatic Academy. He was also diplomatic advisor to several ministers (Interior, Defence) and in the French Parliament.

He has been the Director of the quarterly journal La revue internationale et stratégique (The International and Strategic Review) since 1991, and the Editor of the yearbook L’Année stratégique (The Strategic Yearbook) since 1985.

Dr. Pascal BONIFACE has published or edited more than fifty books dealing with International Relations, Nuclear Deterrence and Disarmament, European Security, French International Policy, and Sports in International Relations.
He makes frequent contributions to national and international medias (TV, radio, newspapers) on geopolitics.
Pascal Boniface is the Secretary General of the Fondation du football (Football Foundation).
He has been made a Chevalier of the French Order for distinguished services in public and private capacity. Pascal Boniface is also a Chevalier of the French Legion of honour.
